​There is NOTHING like Chautauqua. It is right on a 17-mile-long natural lake which is great for swimming and boating. The architecture and grounds are so special that the entire town is on the Register of Historic Places.  There are woods, parks, wonderful walks, great biking, and the infamous Ravine....Scene Of The Crime at Reunion #1 in 1973.  A few stores including the bookstore will still be open on the grounds. The town is in western NY State, 90 minutes southwest of Buffalo (the best airports are Buffalo and Erie).

 

We are again invading the Miller Family House and the Clinger Family House. The Miller House sleeps about 12 and the Clinger House sleeps the same. We found a very nice 3rd house nearby. The house is rented so please respond and send in your money soon.  It is a big weekend in Chautauqua this year and rental properties are filling up now.

A special note:

Chautauqua is presenting a special off-season concert on Friday night at the Amphitheater during our weekend.  It’s Bonnie Raitt. If you are interested, go to CHQ.org where you can check availability and pricing. If you want to go to the concert, buy tickets now! (Concert not included in reunion price.)

 

Arrival/Leave times are Friday Sept 5 - Monday Sept 8. For the whole weekend, three nights, it’s only $260/adult for lodging AND food + beer/wine, Friday night thru Monday morning. Carol will be doing a lot of pre-cooking cooking. We plan to rent a party barge on Saturday or Sunday. All included. And if you want to stay on for a few extra days post-weekend to explore the area (for free!), all you have to do is ask!

 

Linens and towels provided.  Plenty of parking. $130 deposit per person holds your spot, the other $130 per person due by July 1. No refunds on the deposits, as we have already paid for the house. We’ll assign rooms/beds as we get the dough. Sorry, no pets.
